Lucas Brinkmeyer and Kristian Nel both have in-depth experience working commercial real estate across Canberra and Sydney. In that time, they watched the same problem repeat itself.
A business needed space – the right size, right location, right setup. But the space wasn’t listed. Or it was, but the landlord wasn’t interested in a new operator without a track record. Or the numbers almost worked, but not quite. The business either took the wrong space and struggled, or gave up entirely.
LB and KN had a different idea. What if, instead of just pointing people at what exists, they went and purchased the right space directly, then backed it with the kind of support that actually made it viable: better terms, real incentives, and the runway needed to get started?
So they tested it. They found a business who needed space, a vacant property that could work, and then backed the deal with genuine terms and incentives agreed well before settlement, so that operator could move in with confidence from day one. It worked. They repeated it, it worked again, and again, and it’s the same approach LBKN uses today.
LBKN exists to do that at scale. Not just for one tenant in one deal, but for every business that deserves the right space and doesn’t have someone in their corner going to get it.
