Tenant FAQs

Questions. Answered plainly.

No. LBKN makes its return through the property. We become your landlord and lease directly to you. You don’t pay us a fee. There’s no catch, and there’s nothing in the fine print that changes that.

A commercial agent works on behalf of the landlord or vendor who’s paying them. Their job is to fill the listing, not to represent you. LBKN works differently: we go looking for the space that suits you, including properties that aren’t on the market, and we become your landlord directly. Your interests are the ones we’re working to.

Right now we’re focused on smaller businesses like retail, food and beverage, personal services, or medical businesses, in Canberra and Sydney. If you’re not sure whether we can help, submit a brief and we’ll tell you honestly.

We’re based and operate in both Canberra and Sydney. We’re building toward a national footprint, so if you’re somewhere else, get in touch.

It depends on the property and the deal. We won’t rush into the wrong building. But once we’ve found the right fit and the numbers work, we move as fast as we reasonably can. We’ll keep you informed at every step.

We’ll tell you honestly if we don’t think we can help. If anything changes or a suitable property comes up later, we’ll reach out. We’d rather be straight with you than string you along.

No. Submitting a brief is just starting a conversation. There’s no contract until there’s a property and a deal that works for both of us.

Possibly. Tell us about it. Include the address in your brief. If it’s on the market and the numbers work, we may be able to move on it. If it’s not listed, we may still be able to approach the owner.
